Discovered through open records requests, the Luminant public representative is gathering support before the dates for the hearing are even publically announced by the NRC (on 12/22 here), therefore giving supporters more time to gather support than people who were against it.

Subject: Comanche Peak plant expansion public meeting - January 6th

Bill,

I'm asking for your support -  Hopeful you can make time to attend the
Nuclear Regulatory Commission' s public meetings scheduled for Tuesday
January 6th at the Expo Center in Glen Rose.

Two meetings are scheduled at 1 p.m. & 6 p.m. with an open house/info booth
session opening one hour prior to each meeting.        

 These public meetings are another step in the road towards potential
construction of two new units at the Comanche Peak site.  These meetings
will focus on the environmental aspects of our NRC license application
turned in last September.

I expect these meetings will attract the attention of several groups from
outside of our community, and therefore we really need a showing of good
public support at both meetings. 

I hope you will attend and voice your public support of our environmental
works and our expansion efforts.
