While I was up on the SOS Texas site looking for the business that Rose Beck has (and I couldn't find) , I also thought I would see whether Billie Jones is now listed as owner of the Glen Rose Newspaper, as opposed to the manager. Nothing has changed. I had heard recently from several people that Steve Smith still owns the newspaper; he is not from Glen Rose, he's from the metroplex, meaning that, if 1,  the ownership, like the Glen Rose Reporter, is also not local. 

That being so, I have renewed my subscription to the Glen Rose Reporter newspaper. I always liked it when Dan McCarty ran it, and have to say that I have been very impressed with how greatly the paper has been evolving. The inauguration issue is a keeper-so professional looking. One of my friends also commented on how much she likes the paper as well, so it IS being noticed.

Incidentally, as a side note, I heard that Linda Drake, who worked for the Glen Rose Reporter and then for the Glen Rose newspaper,  no longer works for the Glen Rose Newspaper and moved someplace up in West Texas. I really like Linda, always found her to be very pleasant and her pictures were great. I saw her last at the National Night Out that the fire and sheriff's department hosted at the Expo Center in, I think it was, November. If you come by here to read, Linda, shout out a hello-you are one of my favorite people.
