More on the Meridian Clinic (in Bosque County) and the Glen Rose Health Care Partnership

I went down to Walnut Springs and got the latest Bosque County News from January 28, 2009. The title article is about how the Meridian Manor sale has been delayed again, but even though Rose Beck hasn't come up with the money for it, she has begun to take over operations. The circumstances of this sale, frankly, are a little hard to read because of the money mismanagement but this paragraph interested me.

Following the board meeting, Beck also clarified several points concerning the sale. Among those is the relationship between herself (operating as Geln Rose Healthcare Partnership) and the Glen Rose Medical Center. The Medical Center, she said, is not a partner in this sale, and will own no part of the home, but has lent support to the transaction and plans to operate the clinic at Meridian Manor .. once the sale is complete. In addition... the Glen Rose hospital will provide support for the operation of the home and has already done so

Then she talked about how one of the engineers from *Glen Rose* (Glen Rose what? Medical Center? The City? The county? ) came over free of charge to look over the building. IF it was the county or city engineer, it can't have been free of charge because my taxes pay for his (or her) salary. I hope she is not saying that a taxpayer supported government entity went over to another county to do a favor free of charge for a private citizen.

I said before thatI looked up that company on the SOS (Secretary of State) website the other day and I couldn't find that company. I decided that maybe I somehow missed it and looked again a few minutes ago. Nope. That company does not exist as far as the State of Texas is concerned. Here's a screen shot of the search I did (click on pic to see larger view).

I had already looked up the Glen Rose Healthcare, Inc, and have it on that other link, not the same thing. And there is, as you see, a forfeited LLC that is inactive but I looked at that one and it's this.

So this brings me back to the same questions that are still unanswered. Can someone just up and buy another enterprise without having to be registered with the State of Texas as some kind of company? Would the person(s) selling or arranging something *want* to sell to someone who not only didn't have a company name you could look up but coudln't come up with the money? WHERE IS THAT MONEY COMING FROM? Is she getting a personal loan? Since the Glen Rose Medical Center is so closely involved with this, I would like to know exactly who is in this company with her, who is loaning her the money, and is anyone else involved in her business since there is apparently NO filing for it. (I cannot imagine why someone would open a business and not file -I mean, there's got to be liability issues, right?) Hey! I don't have a company name and I don't have any money EITHER to come up with buying the Manor-I guess if I'd gotten there first, I could have been running it now.

I want to hear Gary Marks clearly state that NO money from the hospital district, no services, no nothing, would be used at that clinic. Because there is sure an intimation in this article that, while the GRMC aka GRMF is not buying this (so far as we know, right? We don't really know WHO is behind the Glen Rose Health Care Partnership). they'll be supporting it. How exactly IS that?
