First up, this post from Mayor McSleaze on McBlogger made me laugh.
When I went to the URL listed there, I read that little Adolf "Nein Cake For You" was taken away from his parents but there hasn't been a reason given, so it appears it's on the basis that somebody thought his name was objectionable enough to remove him. Okay. So I can't imagine anybody in this world that would deliberately name his or her child Adolf Hitler. But, absent any other factors, is that reason enough to take him away from his parents? that seems awfully flimsy to me. I know lots of people whose parents named them CRINGE names that probably the parents but for sure the kids regretted growing up. And you know, sometimes even if you think the name you give your kids is a beautiful name, other kids still can mercilessly harass them. Wonder how many times a kid insists that he or she be called something else than their given name... and a teacher would no doubt, unless that teacher is a heartless moron, be sensitive to that name in the classroom.
It may be that, just like Hitler had a drunken grandma, there were other reasons why the parents of little Adolf were not fit. But it oughtn't to be on the basis of a name.
Weird names of celebrity children
Honestly, my favorite was the Pitt baby- Shiloh Pitt only because if you transpose the first letters of both names, you can forecast what this kid will be called in school.
