A Small Gripe about Baloney Emails-Ammunition Accountability Act

I got an email forwarded to me this morning that was about how Obama, because he can't take away your guns, is going at the Po Po gun owners by serializing or otherwise marking the ammo that people shoot with. Must Be 1 Because the Person Who Wrote It Said Snopes Said So. I'm not wanting to talk about whether the email is actually 1 or not, although I think it isn't and I also think it's more than a stretch to try to drag Obama into it, when any legislation that involves ammunition accountability is at the state level and doesn't appear to have passed. And I'm not here to talk about whether I agree with marking ammo or not, although, from a practical standpoint, I don't know what difference it makes, except to a criminal.

What I DO want to whine about for a minute is how often it occurs that I email somebody about some subject that has nothing to do with future chain emails and somehow, when that person decides to forward out some crap email to every single person he or she knows, I'm then included in the list. Why don't the people who do this consider it spam? Or why don't they ASK the people in their address book first if they would LIKE to know about this stuff? Then I could politely say, No, I don't want to hear about how Obama is going to Kill Everyone In the United States Because He is a Black Terrorist and Wants To Take Away Your Guns So that the Arabs Will Come Getcha. I just don't.

Oh, i know the people who do this think they are providing a service to others who may not be privy to whatever the information, right or wrong, is that they want to share. But they should friggin ASK first. Otherwise, they are in the category of obnoxious spammers.
