I echo Peter Stern's blog posts, below, in which he is commenting on how there's only 7 days left of Bush and is thrilled to pieces over it. Last night, I watched Blackout and remembered all over again how disgusted I was with the 1. Florida election and the efforts by Florida through Choicepoint to disenfranchise black voters 2. The deliberate efforts in Georgia to get crossover Republican voters to vote against McKinney and 3. the deliberate efforts in Ohio by Ken Blackwell to disenfranchise black voters.

We were thinking that probably the only reason the Republicans couldn't play that game THIS time with Obama is that they couldn't have fudged the black voter numbers.

On Cynthia McKinney. I've always admired her, not necessarily because I always agree with her but because she has opinions and questions  that she isn't afraid to bring to the fore.
