With all the uproar about Obama, who is a Christian, but is paranoically suspected by the right wing of being a secret Muslim, you'd think that the SoBapts would be up in arms about afshin Ziafat.

 The Bible Conference will be at 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the church. Speakers will include evangelist Afshin Ziafat, a former Muslim; Houston Astros’ All-Star first baseman Lance Berkman; Tim McKenzie of On Every Word Ministries; and David Fleming, pastor of Champion Forest Baptist Church in Houston.

I mean, the man was a MUSLIM BEFORE.  He *says* he's a Christian, but who really knows, right?  My gosh, his FATHER was a Muslim. I say we don't trust anyone that says he's a Christian, no matter how many years, because there's probably really a secret agenda.

Hopefully you can tell I'm being heavily sarcastic. It''s amazing to me that the Bible evangelicals around here are so fearful and hypocritical.

But, then, it occurs to me that maybe the REAL deal is that Christians-Who-Were-Muslims are A-Okay AS LONG AS THEY ARE NOW SOUTHERN BAPTISTS. Because SoBapts are the REAL Christians and other faiths, denominations, etc don't measure up or the people who say they are christian in THOSE religions are just faking.

P.S. I noticed that Ziafat attended notorious Southern Baptist Church Prestonwood Baptist, that was started by serial adulterer Billy Weber. That's also the church John Criswell attended when he said  that some media is the tool of Satan.  And where, back in May, there was an internet sex sting that netted a pastor.
