Meeting about Saving Chalk Mountain at the CItizen's Center (Glen Rose) on Saturday Oct 4th

Saw this HUGE ad in the Glen Rose Reporter newspaper that invites all citizens to show up at 10:00 am on Saturday, October 4th to the Citizens Center on Barnard Street to talk bout Tommy Davis of Brownwood's plans to level one of the hills around Chalk Mountain. I notice that Tommy Davis's company is called *Slick*. Yeah.

Anyway, we're going to try to go. I think it's a darn shame to take the beauty of this area and turn it into rock-crushing facilities.

If you drive east on 67, right when you get into Johnson County there is a mountain top on the left that is now gone. They have been crushing it up and hauling it away for some time now. That's probably what the 'Slick' folks have in mind.
