McCain is such a liar. He says he's suspending his campaign, which is clearly a campaign stunt to change the subject from his campaign manager who is STILL collecting money from Freddie Mac, and also probably from how badly suited Palin is to be VP. But after he said, it, what did he do?

• Lied to David Letterman and said he he was flying back to DC and that's why he couldn't make the show. Instead, he showed up, with makeup artist, to do an interview with Katie Couric.
• Presumably he spent the night in NY. Somebody needs to look and see if he actually WENT TO DC like he said or spent the night at some chi-chi hotel near the UN. For that matter, where the heck was Palin last night?
• This morning he DID NOT SUSPEND his campaigning but did a campaign stop at Clinton's Global Initiatives or whatever meeting. (Say, maybe that's why Bill Clinton and Hillary have been such suckups to John McCain-Next up, we'll see them all hugging up on each other like Bush and McCain like to do). Incidentally, it appears from the link, above that he's not fooling the media with this crapola.
• And if he's suspending his campaign, why's he still taking money and putting out campaign ads?
• Oh, and it turns out that he hasn't REALLY suspended running campaign ads on the teevee.
• Doesn't include not sending your campaign surrogates on television. Just what the heck does McCain even MEAN by suspend? Or is he just a Drama Queen?
• He didn't close down his campaign headquarters around the country.
• Who'd he bring with him to Bush's meeting? A campaign aide. Obama? a staffer.

Let me see. I tell people that I have quit smoking. But I still sneak down to the store and buy cigarettes. I still go smoke them in the smoking room. I DO wash my hands and hope that no one will find out that I am still smoking and that I will get nobility points for being smoke free. Doesn't that count? Or would someone CALL ME A LIAR!!!!!!!

Are the *news* media THIS STUPID? Really? Or are they just COMPLICIT in saying whatever McCain says, even though the PUBLIC can see it's a lie. It's utterly ridic.

Consider another example. I'm on vacation. I say I am suspending my vacation. But instead of ,um, coming HOME, I continue on my way to Mt Rushmore, take pictures, eat out at restaurants. Maybe I just decide that I won't buy any postcards. I tell people I'm suspending my vacation but I'm talking to them while waving out the car window ready to drive into Disneyworld. Think they'll buy it?

P.S. Well, I guess we know when his Suspension Stunt will officially end. McCain is telling teevee stations to start airing his ads again on Saturday. Um, what happened to waiting till a solution is found? Or does he know that Saturday, the day AFTER the debate he's trying to hard to ditch, the deal will be made?
