I didn't see this until today, as a letter to the editor in the local newspaper the Glen Rose Reporter, but G Darrell Best wrote in about how Davis has applied for a permit to do the above. The only way to have possibly stopped this was to notify TCEQ with the letter received by this last Saturday, so I'm not telling you this because you can do anything about it at this point. Hopefully, some have done as Mr Best suggested. He said that Mr Davis said he was "taking that mountain down" and in Mr Best's opinion, he's doing it so that he can "enrich himself at the expense of the residents of Somervell County. We'll get all the cost, eyesore, and pollution and he'll get all the economic benefit-all while sitting two counties away from the destruction he is creating".

This is why you need to watch the TCEQ website and the local newspaper classifieds for public notices.
