I read last night that Michael Williams of the RRC was going to be the one to introduce John McCain. Let's just see WHY that might be.

I'll say it straight out. the Texas Railroad Commission is one the most corrupt, crony-laden gas and oil lovin' agencies in Texas and Michael Williams is entrenched in that. Yeah, read this about okaying ATMOS Energy consultant fees-who paid? Customers.

But it isn't just a kissup to the O&G industry but because he's black. Has to be. Does anyone REALLY THINK that John McCain will pick up black voters because of MICHAEL WILLIAMS?????

Update: Williams is getting shifted around-maybe they want to put Women and Blacks on tonight, same ticket.

Williams, of Arlington, was scheduled as of yesterday to make the formal motion to nominate Sen. John McCain as the presidential candidate from the floor tonight -- and introduce McCain tomorrow night.

Now -- and plans continue to change -- he is expected to speak tonight, possibly around 7:15 p.m., and may still nominate McCain.

P.S The Washington post has an article today about the lack of people of color at the Republican convention.  That said, it isn't like Democrats are the party of people who aren't white.. but of all colors.
