Wrote the other day how there are people who don't actually qualify for disabled veteran benefits or medals of honor. Now here's more phoney-baloney people who want to pretend they were in the war at the price of a license plate. from the DMN

Mr. Agnew and another real war hero, Don Mason, commander of the San Antonio chapter of the Legion of Valor, checked their records and called the Texas Department of Transportation to turn in the phony, who also had a Navy Cross in the back window. Service crosses, which give you Legion of Valor eligibility, are second only to the Medal of Honor.

Reminds me of all the war-mongering types that are so eager for the United States to go to war, but don't actually sign up to go themselves.
