Readers know I've been on a Separation of Church and State roll lately here... and ... here.  I did not watch Rick Warren at the God-Off the other night. But I did see this transcript and this relevant piece.

We’re here in Saddleback Church in Lake Forest, California. Tonight, we’re going to use the interview format with these two candidates. We believe in the separation of church and state, but we do not believe in the separation of faith and politics, because faith is just a world view, and everybody has some kind of world view. It’s important to know what they are.

What the heck does that even MEAN? What twaddle. When a man decides that he will get CNN to do a religious test forum, because that's really what all that was, instead of keeping it to a secular forum, it is blending church and state. And obviously Mr Warren has not read the constitution that says there is to be no religious test for office. Overall, he's just trying to make an excuse for saying one thing but doing another and hope the gullible are fooled by his obfuscation.
