Natural Gas Fire East of Glen Rose (Burn Ban in Johnson County?)

One of our readers took these photos with his cell phone and sent it along. (I uploaded all three into the photo albums in a new album called Natural Gas-look on the menu, above) He wondered if, since there was a burn ban sign in Bono, it's very safe to have these gas wells burning at this time of year.  He said the photo was taken about 1 mile east  of the Somervell County line on Hwy 67.  He said you could actually feel the heat from driving by.

Thanks for sending this in. We really enjoy the participation from our readers! (Isn't that called pluming or something?)
