When is the community going to insist joelle ogletree be reinstated at the school and a public apology be given for the 0 accusations against her?
A very good question, indeed. Ogletree has a lot of support within the community, and it may be that some are waiting for the legal process to play itself out. Some of those supporters have spoken up for her in school board meetings or other venues.
Her status is this. The ALJ Hearing determined, as you no doubt know, that the accusations by her accusers were 0 and she HAS her teaching license. What the local school board at GRISD did was decide that they would not allow her to work as a volunteer at the school. I have heard recently that GRISD School board is going to attempt to get Ogletree's lawsuit dismissed again, as they tried unsuccessfully to do a couple of years ago, thus trying to prevent, in my view, her having her day in court. She recently was able to get a confirmed court date for her civil case against the district, and that date is in 2009. I would assume that the action of the school board means that they are not willing to issue any type of apology to Ogletree, but I would also assume that the idea of guilt and financial repercussions might enter into that as well.
I do think that the now-men ought to apologize but they also will probably not do that.
Speaking ONLY for msyelf, I believe a wrong has been done Ogletree and my way of asking of public accountability is by writing about it here and having this information available, including the transcripts that I scanned from the original documents.
