As I always mention, it's because I like the newspaper not because this site IS the newspaper. I've subscribed to the Glen Rose Reporter newspaper for years. These are things that interested me in this edition.

UPDATE before you read any further. I sent a message to Kurt Mogonye to ask when the Glen Rose Reporter Newspaper website (http://www.theglenrosereporter.com/)  would be up and it IS!!!! GO TAKE A LOOK and you can see all the great pics and articles I list below!

First up, there are some nice photos of the candidates for City Council on the front page. Wow, I didn't know so many people were running. There's Kim Cecil, Dianne Gruber, Jennifer Miller, Barbara Mitchell, Dennis Moore, Rocky Terry and Ricky Villa (the last two are already on the city council).Interesting article with answers to questions about why they're running.

Picture of the La Quinta motel tower getting lowered into place. That motel is HUGE, it sits on the hill across from the bank. I haven't looked to see if I can see it from my house yet-heh.

Article about Stoneview, the ritzy development going on that is intended to provide the face of Glen Rose for people arriving going south on 67. Wrote about this before.

saw a legal notice where a company Falcon Ridge Water Systems is wanting to provide water utlity service in Somervell County. That's around CR 2003 and Hwy 144 on the south side. Interesting because people around can opt for a hearing if they have an issue with that.. AND if someone in the tract has 25 acres or more, they can opt out of the water service-presumably they'd be running off a well, eh?
