Rep. Chet Edwards, D-Waco, bagged the highest dollar value in earmarks last year among the Texas delegation, according to tally by Taxpayers for Common Sense.
Edwards, a member of the influential House Appropriations Committee, either sponsored or co-sponsored $128 million worth of these special projects, according to the non-partisan group. That ranked him sixth among all House members.
