Very interesting. Basically, Larry Smith and Jim Gosdin have a corporation called Stoneview LLC, with plans to develop the northwest section of 144 and Hwy 67 in Glen Rose. I was curious to know what exactly the plans entailed. It appears from the presentation and the map that there would be a water park (I'm assuming something like the H20 park in the midcities), a mini-golf range, a resort hotel, some retail storefronts with possibly some apartments on top, an area set aside for a school, greenbelts (at least in one case because there will be power lines running through the area)  and walkways throughout and a gated community with access through the gate on Hwy 144.

They are taking input from citizens right now and will be presenting the final proposed site design on Tuesday, Feb 26th at 9:00 am, again at the Palace Theatre.

A few related sidenotes to think about. Apparently the presenters thought there might be a deal of opposition to what they plan to do, as I judge by their comments. Since the audience was largely made up of local government officials, real estate, builders, and chamber personnel who are eager for growth, they didn't get any angry mob uprising. Ricky Villa said that when the city hits 5000, Glen Rose will be able to annex property, but that at that point they would like to put in some controls to limit growth; and, along the way,a master planning process could help design future growth in the city according to standards with citizen input. (I also heard that this is not the first master planning document the City of Glen Rose has done).  At any rate, the goal seems to be the richest city in America, and perhaps these new developments going in are intended to capitalize on the reputation and personna Glen Rose yearns to have.
