Boy! The tasering of that student today sure brought freedom of speech issues to the fore, but I've been disturbed about the issues particularly in the last week because of Rick Noriega, who is running for Senator in Texas, stance. What has happened when people asking questions become, somehow, a threat to be isolated, shut out, drowned out, overruled, tasered, or called a threat to democracy themselves?

What gets me is when it's Democrats that are also thwarting freedom of speech. Remember the *freedom cages* at the Democratic National Convention in 2004? (Video with Ron Reagan) where people who wanted to protest were put out of sight completely of the arena in *free speech zones*. Since when are there only designated areas where one can freely speak? Protest IN SIGHT OF those who are in power is entrenched in our government.
