I supposed there's no one that doesn't know about the shameless visit by Alberto Gonzales and Andrew Card to the bedside of a highly ill John Ashcroft, who was not only extremely sick but had given over his AG power to James Comey. If you wipe away all the times that Gonzales lied to Congress and should be charged with perjury, and ignore his torture "organ failure" memo (that he didn't even WRITE himself), there would still be the classless end-run he made, at the behest of Bush, to a sick man late at night, when he KNEW that James Comey was the man to deal with. Anyway, new book by Goldsmith has this piece in it, made me laugh.
