We plan to document what happens on this property with regard to gas drilling, not only in writing, but also with photos. Some months back, a company that plans to thump the ground to discover if there are any significant cracks in the ground came by-thought that they would be thumping at that point but it was right in between all the rain and far too wet to get things done.

Yesterday, we were enjoying being inside because now, of course, it's dry and way too hot! And hub thought he saw, in the middle of the afternoon, the neighbor up near the fence riding around on a four-wheeler. He commented on how nice it was to see the neighbors out and I went back to whatever I was doing at that moment. A short bit later, he said, No, It was Not the Neighbors, it's somebody ELSE, a stranger and he's riding around on OUR property now.

Now, did the man come up to the house and knock on the door to tell us that he'd be out there in the field, on a weekend, riding around on a four-wheeler? Nope. That would be some common courtesy, eh? And what's odd is that the foreman for the thumping company had told me that they were instructed to contact the householder when coming on ANYONE's property.

Hub ran out and ordered him off the property. Before the man left, he attempted to open a gate that went to the NEXT guy's property but vegetation prevented that. But he left. We think he probably was told to just go drive up on private property, do it quick, but leave if he was caught.

You'd think in Texas, with so many people in rural areas having guns to protect themselves, that they'd at least KNOCK at the door before riding around. Anyway, that's just arrogant and unacceptable.
