A three-day manhunt for a Hood County escapee who exchanged gunfire Saturday with authorities in Fort Worth ended peacefully early Tuesday with an arrest in Granbury, according to reports.
A SWAT team arrested Jason Lee Johnston, 24, who had been jailed for armed robbery, at 1:20 a.m. at a house on the city's east side, said Lt. Billy Henderson of the Hood County Sheriff's Department.
Henderson said a tip led authorities to a house in the 1900 block of Hidden Valley Road in the Western Hills Harbor subdivision. The neighborhood is a few blocks east of the Harbor Lakes Golf Club.
"An informant gave us some information," Henderson said. "They just had a SWAT team entry, and they got him. It was a no-knock warrant."
