As I thought. The articles that talk about this all over the place concentrate on the part that has to do with getting old junkers off the road that spew toxicity. But do they mention the TERP? Let's just see.

Houston ChronicleI'm not saying that the rest of the bill isn't a good thing although it's pretty interesting to see how money *grants* get dished out. I have to wonder if that's not profiting some auto dealer somewhere. But right now I'm more on a tear about corporate welfare-I don't ever want to hear ONE person, of whatever party, griping to me about PEOPLE being on welfare, when the goverment takes OUR money and puts private businesses on corporate welfare.
