I've read a number of articles over the last few years about whether the No Child Left Behind is very effective, a good idea, useful, intrusive, or needs to be changed. While we are thinking about it, remember that the provision to allow military recruiters to have access to contact information of high school students was added to THAT bill. Ironic, eh? What exactly did they mean *No Child Left Behind* when you have the military able to receive contact information to add to a huge database UNLESS the parents explicitly opt out. And even then, if someone doesn't opt out as a freshman, the military has that contact information.
