Got a call this morning from a Glen Rose resident who had been to the meeting on waste injection wells this last weekend in Somervell County. We were talking about gas well roughnecks coming into the county and she told me that the story that was in the Glen Rose Reporter newspaper a few weeks ago about an alteraction at the country western shindig involved a gas field worker. I don't have the paper anymore but basically it was about a fight that broke out a the club, and one man ran over another man with his car; there was some shooting involved, and the shooter tried to hide his gun on the shoulder by the road. My caller said that the guy had run over the HEAD of the other guy.

Anyway, it was quite a lurid tale, but I didn't know it involved roughnecks from out of town.
