Written about this before here and here. You're going through an airport and TSA thinks you LOOK SUSPICIOUS (or maybe, as we found out today, you're in a DHS database that has your risk assessment as a TERRORIST!). You're pulled aside and put into a machine where your body is shown, nude, to a screener (oh, you're given a little piece of metal to put in front of your private parts). Screener wipes smirk off face and decides if you're okay to get on the plane.

Today I read that the first airport to go *live* about this is Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix-backscatter hasn't been used too much because, duh, it's considered a VIOLATION OF PRIVACY. But Good Old TSA "Your Privacy Means NOTHING to US", says they have a new way to Xray you that won't show you as NUDE as before.

But the Transportation Security Administration says it's found a way to refine the machine's images.

The TSA claims that normally graphic pictures can be blurred in certain areas while still being effective in detecting bombs and other threats.

Oh, so somehow the machine will determine what your privates are and add some extra blurring? Can we Call this the TSA "T&A (and P)" machine?

WHEN are people going to BOYCOTT flying, especially at airports that want to use this intrusive technology? Heck, I don't even enjoy it when, if I'm sick, a medical office wants to take X-Rays, I really WANT to have X-Rays taken at a friggin airport to be looked at by some low-paid SCREENER??????? Pfffttt to that.

The ONLY way to make all this stuff stop is if people decide that getting somewhere faster is not worth it if they have to put up with all this crap... MONEY TALKS and an airline taking a dive, even temporarily, because people REFUSE TO BE TREATED LIKE TRACKED CATTLE would make a change.. quickly.
