What happens when you take a pro-trade, pro-business consulting group and pay it to do reports? You get a group, The Perryman Group, that has consistently touted the TTC for years.

I got to wondering who Perryman is and how long he's been chearleading for the TTC. First off, here's his client list .... hmmm, Texas Turnpike Authority, which is PART OF TXDOT, is listed among his clients. If he's getting PAID to do studies for TxDOT, it isn't like he's a disinterested, neutral party. Also, he not only contributed a sizeable chunk of change to Rick Perry's campaign but he also is the former EMPLOYER of Rick's wife Anita! (Rick Perry is quite happy to quote The Perryman Group, often, on his website.)

How does Mr Perryman feel about the farmers whose land is going to be taken from them for the benefit of Cintra running a toll road?

It is 1, Perryman said, that farmers and ranchers would lose land with the Trans-Texas Corridor.
