Saw this in the Glen Rose Reporter, but WHY does the meeting to talk about WHETHER Dinosaur Valley State Park gets a gas lease on it have to be in AUSTIN, which is almost 3 hours of a drive away?

On November 2, Texas Parks and Wildlife Commission will consider an oil and gas lease nomination for DVSP. The meeting will start at 9:00 am at 4200 Smith School Rd, Austin. Public comment may be submitted to Corky Kuhlmann, TP&W, 4200 Smith School Road, Austin 78744 or by email to corky.kuhlmann@tpwd.state.tx.us or in person at the meeting.

Here's my question. WHO or WHAT company is nominating Dinosaur Valley to get a gas lease???????

What I think is this: Just like, with Eagle Mountain Lake, we found out that the Land Commissioner was acting on behalf of Rick Perry to do deals about the property, probably same thing again. All part of the gutting of state park funds and selling off or making state parks business properties to cash in. Remember who is running for Land Commissioner against Patterson-that would be HONEST Valinda Hathcox.
