Trump's administration is so corrupt, it's hard to keep up, but I'll mention some of the things going on as of today
Trump is trying to hide his tax returns from Congress. -ruled against in lower courts, off to the Supreme Court
While the president is on a losing streak in federal and state courts, his lawyers hope for a more friendly reception at a Supreme Court partially remade in Trump's image. Two of the nine justices, Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh, are his nominees.
"This is going to be a real test for both Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh – whether they are willing to follow the rule of law and Supreme Court precedent even if it means ruling against the president who put them on the bench," says Brianne Gorod, chief counsel for the liberal Constitutional Accountability Center.
There's also something interesting in the way Trump has appealed to the US Supreme Court. Why are his businesses included since he's also using his title as President as a reason not to give over the records? I thought he wasn't having anything to do with his businesses. Trump still makes money from his properties-is this constitutional? Looks self-dealing to me.
Trump has a couple of lawsuits against him for violating the emoluments clause and items keep getting added -Maryland AG Says Trump’s Excessive Golf Outings Violated Emoluments Clause
President Donald Trump‘s unmatched predilection for presidential golf outings also directly lines his family’s pockets. Now, at least one state attorney general has accused the 45th president of violating the U.S. Constitution over his excessive use of the links.
Government transparency organization Property of the People recently obtained Secret Service documents by way of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) which detail the agency’s spending at several Trump-owned golf resorts during the first six months of 2017.
From January through June of Trump’s first year in office, the Secret Service spent just over $254,000 at five separate Trump properties: the Trump International Hotels in New York and Las Vegas and the three Trump National Golf Clubs located in New York and New Jersey.
