First, this is a lie. 

Second, China is not paying for the tariffs, US citizens are. 

Frankly, who I'm sorry for are the farmers.

My own ancestors were largely farmers or ranchers and proud of having their own land and business. I've read that quite a few farmers now have had to declare bankruptcy due to the tarriffs and worse, are now going to be put on government welfare via bailouts. Were this me, I'd much rather have my farming business and the pride that comes with that than have my hand out looking for welfare.
