If you listen to the budget workshops or glance at the agenda, you'll see that the workshop is designed to be a free flow of discussion and information regarding the proposed budget for the upcoming year. If there are other items that need to be discussed that don't have to do with the budget, then those items(s) should be line itmes on an agenda and not discussed where the public has no idea that's part of the general *budget* discussion.
On June 23, 2018 at the Somervell County budget workshop, one of the commissioners said to Brian Watts, this isn't part of the budget, and then brought up a big ticket item that the Expo needed done to fix the A/C. Rather than anyone stopping the conversation and saying, we will put this on the agenda for the next meeting, they discussed it. Would YOU know about it?
