I quit paying much attention to Roseanne Barr after I saw her crotch-grabbing antics at a baseball game some years back. I missed what she thought was a hilarious joke of dressing up like a Nazi to put gingerbread people in an oven, which was not only not funny but amazing that Barr would think it would be.. Occasionally I have seen her tweet on social media with crazy conspiracy theories that have no basis in fact, and have quickly passed on to something more worthy of time to read.
I didn't immediately see what Roseanne Barr said about Valerie Jarrett but did see how quickly ABC put out a statement regarding how offensive what she said was, and that they were cancelling her show. Well done! The aftermath was swift. Not only was the show cancelled, but all her old show reruns on various channels cancelled too, cast members put out statements, her talent agency dropped her as a client.
That didn't stop Barr from continuing to tweet crazy conspiracy theories on her own timeline, as well as make up excuses for herself. This one is pretty hilarious.
“Guys I did something unforgiveable so do not defend me. It was 2 in the morning and I was ambien tweeting-it was memorial day too-i went 2 far & do not want it defended-it was egregious Indefensible [sic]. I made a mistake I wish I hadn’t but…don’t defend it please,
Oh, okay. Doesn't EVERYONE take Ambien on Memorial Day? hah
The company putting out Ambien, Sanofi, tweeted this.
People of all races, religions and nationalities work at Sanofi every day to improve the lives of people around the world. While all pharmaceutical treatments have side effects, racism is not a known side effect of any Sanofi medication.
Hah!
