Previous post on this.

Some additional documents showing the negotiations going on regarding an interlocal agreement between Somervell County and City of Glen Rose for use of the animal shelter. (January 23, 2017 special session minutes-potential agreement was discussed in executive session). I heard informally that the proposal involved more money than what Somervell County was paying before, and included asking the city to take over running parks that are within the city, including Heritage Park, Soccer Park, and Sonic Park; also that the money offered was much more than $80,000.   Right now there is NO agreement between them.

If you, a Somervell County resident, find a rabid animal on your property, such as a skunk, dog, etc, you will call the Sheriff's Department. If you can manage to catch a dumped dog and bring it to the Animal Shelter, right now you will pay $25 per adult dog (other fees here).
