Listening to audio from June 1, 2004/ House Committee for Licensing and Administration Procedures. I ran across the reference in this article from last year in which school monies were allocated, $250,000 worth,  to pay for a contract with a Las Vegas law firm re: video lottery gambling at para-mutuel race tracks. I bring this up because I'm been torqued about the mishandling of our taxpayer funds-I mean, we're told there isn't enough money to pay teachers properly, etc-but money from the Foundation School Fund was used to get a contract in order to do slot-machine legislation????????
