Hub and I were doing some fence clearing today out on 2008 and saw quite a few of the bike riders go by before they headed left up the hill that goes to the Overlook at Fossil Rim. What was really cute also is that the next door neighbor's llama also came to the front of their property to watch, too. I always really enjoy seeing everybody go by, admire their bikes and their outfits. Hub told me I was like a cheerleader because I wanted to say Hi to everybody. People generally come in spurts. There was one guy that was first and way ahead of everybody for what seemed like about 10 minutes. It was some beautiful weather, too, a little overcast and cool. Later, on the way to town, we saw a lot of people at that new farmers market and restaurant that is south on 144, so I'm guessing the place advertised specifically to the riders.
Although I didn't do any video this year, here's one I did a few years back in 2010. The hill that goes to the overlook is a long gradual up-climb, the one that gets people is what's called "The Wall"-It really is a gorgeous ride, and challenging. I may drag out my bike and start practicing now for next year. Or go film it again next year.
