Request for Open Record re: Protest Document Going to Attorney General (August 24 2016)

I recently attended the Somervell County Appraisal District Appraisal Review Board meeting in which Luminant came to contest the value Somervell CAD put on Luminant/Comanche Peak. There was a portion of the meeting in which, for several hours, attorneys went back and forth, and that part was closed to the public, in response to Somervell County raising a protest against Luminant. The next day, I went in person to CAD to ask to inspect the documents. I figured that since the ARB is an open meeting that the very nature of what both Luminant and Somervell CAD/County contested should be an open record. Somervell County has contested my being able to look at the records, specifically what County Attorney Andrew Lucas filed,  and are asking the Texas Attorney General's office to weigh in.

From August 16 2016

And from yesterday, where the document has been filed within 10 business days with the AG.

@PDiddie. This is a huge deal here. Around 80 percent of the property taxes in Somervell County come from Luminant. Luminant is appealing a judgement from the local district court to pay what Somervell CAD says they owe, and that is just for 2015, not 2016. Some of the local government entities are presenting this as Luminant is Evil, Luminant is a Bully while disregarding that there has been a lot of unaccountability regarding spending, particularly in the last few years. And it's not only Somervell, there are other communities that have relied on those taxes. I can't say whether Luminant has a case or not, the 10th court of appeals will rule on that, but I definitely think in the meantime it is not a Good v Evil battle.
