Background. Liz Morgan was HIM Director (Human Information Management, ie patient records) and HIPAA Privacy Officer for Glen Rose Medical Center. She pled guilty to a 3rd degree felony of stealing approximately  56k from Cottonwood Baptist Church over a 3 year period. Part of that money, about $20,000 was used to send her child on Florida trip.  In exchange for her guilty plea,she got deferred adjudiction with probation for 10 years. She broke that probation earlier this year by driving drunk. At one point one of the Somervell County Hospital District board members  (previous board) attempted to remove her from her sensitive position but was unable to.  She continued on at Glen Rose Medical Center at least until she was caught driving drunk. (Feb 2016) I believe she is no longer working there, because I saw an advertisement recently for someone as HIM director.

Because she had violated her probation the State of Texas went ahead to proceed with an adjudication of guilt. Notice that she not only violated the parts about alcohol but didn't do all the community service hours she was supposed to
