Alan West Won! Somervell County Sheriff Election Runoff -5/24/2016

GLEN ROSE – In the Texas Republican Primary Runoff for Somervell County Sheriff, Alan West has defeated Jeff Slaton, 839 votes to 630. As of press time, the results still required proper canvassing and were unofficial, but the votes were tallied and all precincts accounted for Tuesday evening by Somervell County officials.

Somervell County needs to take a step into the future and not remain the same. The good ole local folks who are "4th" generations will still get to get away with whatever they want just like they have the past 12 plus years?

I agree with you about good ole boy system. and boy howdy.. on steroids. However, I think Alan will make a good sheriff. I wasn't for him versus Jeff Slaton, because I vote Democrat, and because I wanted to vote in the presidential primary, wasn't able to do any local voting at all, so didn't pick a side.
