So brazen. Pecan Family Medical Center is NOT in Somervell County, it is in HOOD County. Further, the clinic is NOT open to the public, there is a gate through which one must pass after getting permission. (So this clinic which resides in an entirely different hospital taxes for which that district pays nothing, does not serve a public purpose. Somervell County residents cannot freely enter in and out of Pecan Plantation's gated community). But more than that, why in the world would a scheduled meeting of a GOVERNMENT entity be held in different hospital district rather than in Somervell County? UGH UGH UGH-don't  the Somervell County Hospital District board members have sense? Reminder that people that live in Hood County, including Pecan Plantation, pay ZERO tax for their hospital district because they have a contract with CHS, which is a private for profit hospital. And yet Somervell County's Hospital District spends Somervell County taxpayer money in Hood County's district to benefit..Most recently Somervell County Hospital District board voted to go spend a lot of money to remodel that clinic. (They could barely after that make the required bond payment, and even had to forego paychecks for some employees, but whee! Can go spend for the rich folks in a golfing community!, those lucky lucky people who don't have to pay a dime who live behind Pecan Plantation's gates. Again
