I was reading Jobsanger who has had his blog for 10 years today. Made me look at when I started this one. March 15, 2005.  I see that I had gone to video record the County Commissioners meeting on March 14, although over time, the video is no longer a valid link, don't know if I still have the video any more. At any rate, that was the start of me occasionally recording government meetings and then sharing them on my blog. 

Over the last 11 years, I and a variety of other posters and commenters have posted about all kinds of stuff, from local events or meetings to national politics. We have each written from our own perspective. Mine as the owner of Somervell County Salon is that I want and encourage liberal viewpoints and started this as a way to write about politics.
