Ray Reynolds has an inconsistent record of responding to public information requests.it's unfortunate, really, but I have gotten, over the years, where, if he doesn't respond within the time frame he would have to in order to contest giving information, I simply write a complaint to the Texas Attorney General's Open Records Division. Perhaps, to be kind, Ray Reynolds simply forgets and doesn't keep track of requests. Who knows? But I should not have to be in the position of nagging Mr Reynolds.
Request #1, dated Jan 22, 2016 asked to inspect, in person, "all complaints and grievances that have been lodged with/sent to Glen Rose Medical Center, the Somervell County Hospital District Quality Board, Somervell County Hospital District board members (to include any individual board member as well as sent to the board as a whole), and/or you from January 1, 2015 through January 1, 2016, in any format". Mr Reynolds did reply on the 3rd that he had forwarded the request to hospital attorneys. However, the atorneys did not contest releasing the information to the Attorney General within 10 business days and thus the request has entered into a black hole of non-response.
Request #2, dated Feb 3, 2016, asked for all email communications between Brian Watts and Ray Reynolds and/or Michael Honea from January 1, 2016 till the day he fulfilled the request.
Update: After I sent the complaint and posted about it, Ray Reynolds sent the information on Monday February 22, 2016 for Request #2. Still have not received, that I can find, any fulfillment regarding Request #1.
It's really a shame that Ray Reynolds, as CEO of Glen Rose Medical Center, does not take this particular facet of his position seriously. I'm sure the Texas Attorney General's Open Records Division will, though.
