Based on the actions previously of Somervell County Hospital District board, I'm willing to bet that whatever the RFP was that they chose, they okayed spending OUR money outside of our district in Hood County's hospital district.  Do you agree with this? The last time I went to Pecan Plantation to attempt to go to a meeting there, the guard told me that the reason Glen Rose Medical Center was open was due to the people in Pecan Plantation. (This despite the fact that for the past few months, Pecan Family Medical Center has operated at a loss).  Such largesse, from people who pay ZERO taxes in their own hospital district, Hood County, which boundary IS Hood county, who pay ZERO taxes to Somervell County, who are in a gated community that Somervell County residents cannot freely enter without permission, and who are going to have, without having to pay a cent, the Pecan Family Medical Clinic remodeled for their benefit. No wonder they deign to let Glen Rose people know that we should be appreciative that they may come and use the hospital and the doctors that have their offices OUTSIDE Somervell County. I guess I"m an ingrate.
