Back on May 28 2015, I sent an open records request to Ray Reynolds of Glen Rose Medical Center to ask to inspect, in person, certain check registers for certain dates. Ray Reynolds is the acting Public Information Officer contact for Glen Rose Medical Center. I got no response at all, so on June 11, 2015, I sent a complaint to the Texas Attorney General's office indicating that it had been more than 10 business days without a response at all. I received a copy of a letter sent by the Attorney General's office on June 17, 2015 to Ray Reynolds,LINK. 

It's now July 28, 2015 with no response so I have to wonder what the fool is up with Ray Reynolds and why he is not properly discharging his role to release public information.  He did not contest the open records request within 10 business days of receiving it, so I suppose I will be on the phone to the AG's office or writing them a letter this week to ask what the status is. 

Update: I sent a letter to the Attorney General asking about the status of this since it's been since May 18, and Mr Reynolds was required to contact the AG's office back with a status on June 17. It is now August 13, 2015

Update #2 / 8/21/2015. Received letter from Attorney General dated August 17, 2015. Ray Reynolds replied to the AG's office thus.

Because Ray Reynolds said he had never received this information request from me, the AG's office told me they could do nothing. 

So, lesson learned. I have had no problems with any other local government entity in Somervell County getting open records requests via email, in fact, it's quite a pleasant experience dealing with the City of Glen Rose, Somervell County, etc. I've decided if I get back no response within 24-48 hours that Mr Reynolds has received a public information request via email (and this will be with options set for Read and Notification receipts), that I will walk the requests down in person.
