Liz Morgan pled guilty in a plea bargain, see PDF below.

I had been told that the people at the church didn't want to do anything about it, but in fact found out recently that wasn't the case.  Liz Morgan, who has the position of Director of Hospital Information Management (HIM)  received deferred adjudication on a 3rd degree felony charge of theft 20k < 100k

First, the grand jury signed off on this. 

"Unlawfully appropriate by acquiring or otherwise exercising control over property, to-wit: United States currentcy from Mike Easter, the owner thereof, without the effective consent of the owner, and with intent to deprive the owner of the property., and it is further presented in and to said court that all of the said amounts were obtained pursuant to one scheme or continuing course of conduct from August 31, 2011 to November 13, 2013 and the aggregate value of the property obtained was $20,000 or more but less than $100,000."

So, for over a couple of YEARS. 

on a plea bargain in which she pleaded guilty. Notice that as part of this plea bargain, she cannot, after the 10 years is up on which she is on probation, get her record expunged. 

  PDF.  The State agreed to recommend 10 years deferred adjudication, $1000 file, standard terms and conditions of probation, $55,660.00 restitution has been paid in full to Cottonwood Baptist Church.

She is still working at that director-level position at Glen Rose Medical Center in charge of patient records and also HIPAA officer.
