While out and about the other day, a friend of mine told me that Shelley Turk of Glen Rose Medical Center had been fired as of June 26, 2015. Since both her husband Dr Turk and she had been so active in bringing some serious quality and safety concerns forward in the last year, seems to be odd timing. I heard that the reason she was fired was based on hearsay regarding a comment she allegedly made about someone else's personal appearance. IF that is so, that seems like pretty small potatoes and one wonders if rather the Glen Rose Medical Center powers that be simply didn't like it that she was attempting to both call attention to and correct serious health procedure issues at the hospital. Note that Ray Reynolds, administrator of Glen Rose Medical Center, has been aware since last year of Turk's concerns.  What the fool is WRONG when someone who wants to see patient care elevated to a high standard is not only blown off but fired for it?
