I was talking with a friend of mine last night that was upset that TVLand was taking "Dukes of Hazard" off the playlist. The conversation crysalized for me how I feel about the flag. I do believe it's racist and not a *heritage* flag. I feel the same way about it that I do about swastikas. That said, CAN in the United States people who want to decorate their cars with symbols that others find offensive do it? Yes. A store or company that decides not to sell those items is making a free market choice. If a television station decides to play or not play certain shows, that's also their free market choice, nothing stops people that want to see Dukes of Hazard from buying DVDs. Where I draw the line is the confederate flag flying over government offices. The Confederacy lost. We're the United States now. STOP flying that flag at government sites, whether one thinks they are *heritage* or *hatred*. It's the wrong thing to do.
