Updated 6/30/2015. Called up just to see again today, spoke to April, they WILL be issuing the marriage licences but won't be able to do it this week, waiting on a software update. 

Also called Danny Chambers (county judge)-he will not be performing ANY marriages. Have a call in to the JPs to ask them. 

Not yet. Waiting on some questions either Greg Abbott or Ken Paxton have about the technical issues of issuing them.

Update: Appears that DHHS has updated the forms to comply with the new ruling.

AND Katie Lang of Granbury is being SUED because her oath to follow the constitution was apparently lesser than being a bigot. 

Parker County Clerk Jeane Brunson issued a statement Monday afternoon that she took an oath to execute the duties of her office, "without subjecting those actions to my own personal values."

Clerks in Parker County, Wise County and Johnson County said they intend to start issuing same-sex licenses once software has been modified to deal with the changes. They said the first gender-neutral forms issued by the state contained errors that had to be corrected.

“One thing is that, up till late on Friday, our application forms had not been updated and the state statute reads that you shall use the form designated,” Ivey said. “We have the updated forms now and we’re working with our software vendor to get those into the system. Tarrant, Dallas and other counties that gave out the forms Friday were changing those themselves, but I want to follow the law.”

Ivey did not comment on her thoughts concerning same-sex marriage other than to say it is now the law of the land.

“I was elected to serve as county clerk of Johnson County and I took an oath to faithfully execute the duties of this office and to uphold and protect the constitutions and laws of the United States and Texas. And, based upon that, that’s the reason the licenses will be issued.”
