UPDATE: was on the agenda to discuss lawsuit in executive session on 5/11/2015-after the town council came out, they voted 4-0 to appeal the judge's decision.
Have been following this for awhile. The folks that own Inn on the River wanted to retire and got a buyer for their property from an outfit that wanted to open up a drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility. There were some steps taken, including a public hearing, surveys of adjoining property owners. One of the issues about the rehab center was around how it was classified and whether city codes permitted same. The City turned down them down, on this basis. The Reinke's sued the City of Glen Rose, part of the lawsuit below. Recently the plaintifffs asked for a summary judgement to end the case, and apparently the judge granted it recently. I have not seen it, but I understand this is one issue that may be discussed at City of Glen Rose Town Council meeting on this upcoming Monday, May 11th.
Selected parts of the lawsuit, below.
