Please.
I don't like Hillary Clinton. I can't remember that I ever have. I have never voted for her ever. I voted for Barack Obama twice, plus in the primaries. I don't want a presumptive candidate just because it seems like it's her turn (hello, Mitt Romney????? Ugh). I am not in favor of dynasties. I'd hate to see Jeb Bush be the candidate and then it be a Bush v Clinton race. Double ugh. I didn't like Hillary Clinton's Iraq war stance. I don't like it when ANYBODY moves deliberately to a different state simply to run for office; I call that a carpetbagger. I don't like her sucking up to women right now because it feels manipulative. I would like to vote for a women to be president, but I'm not going to vote for a woman simply BECAUSE she's running. Yes, others of both parties ALSO have done secretive things with emails, THAT DOESN'T MAKE IT RIGHT for someone that is a professional politician that should have known better.
I don't really know where she stands on various issues (besides the Iraq war or pandering to women). I read someplace recently that if a candidate stays fairly vague, people will project their own feelings and ideas on the person. I don't agree with that tactic, but it seems it works. However, I WANT to vote for someone where I KNOW what that person stands for. As per below, she isn't *talking* bur *listening*. That's BULLCHIT designed to make people heard but offers them no guarantee that the opinion they express is shared AT ALL by Clinton. I don't care what her background is, I care about what she is doing to DO.
With the help of messaging experts, Clinton’s road-testing in speeches to friendly audiences what one Democrat familiar with her plans calls a narrative about her qualifications for the White House: daughter of middle-class parents who rose to first lady, U.S. senator and secretary of State; grandmother; political veteran who knows how to make government work for average people.
She has consulted with economists and policy advocates in preparation for a potential campaign, including a meeting at her Washington mansion with Warren, who some Democratic liberals wish would make her own presidential bid.
“She has spent a large portion of the last six months or so really meeting a lot of people and asking very deep questions around economic policy,” said Jonathan Cowan, president of Third Way, a Democratic-leaning research group, who has participated in some sessions. “She’s doing not a lot of talking and a ton of listening.”
WHO ELSE IS RUNNING?????
“Silence is serving her really, really well,” Brands said. “If in fact someone should challenge her for the nomination, they can call her out and force her to take a stand.”
Yes, please
