Went to Hood County last night, and there were maybe 50 people there. Someone told me tonight that TTC had changed the location of the meeting without updating the website, so some people that otherwise might have attended were confused. Saw Somervell Co folks there as well. Again, the majority of the people spoke against the TTC project and there were no politicians who spoke up.

Tonight, went to Clifton  (Bosque County) where there were around 400 people in attendance at the high school. Clifton is in a beautiful farming area of Texas and a lot of people got in line to speak against it. There was only one waffler for it, and guess what... it was a politician! No, wait, not even a politician, but a spokesperson for a politician.

Have to say, at one point , my heart started to feel broken hearing all the people talking about how TTC would take their land that has been in familiies for generations. Clifton, in particular, was settled by Norwegians who believed that the topography was like Norway-one person's ancestor was one of the original settlers-And THIS for a PRIVATE toll road? No one saw any benefit-oh, except that politician flack.

Hard to choose a best one, but Bosque County actually passed a resolution AGAINST TTC, ANY form of it, and the Commish read it in its entirety. Made me proud, even though I'm not from that county but one adjoining it. (Incidentally, shame on anyone, ANYONE, who supports TTC as long as it's not "in my backyard"-the travesty that is TTC, or as one person called it the Trans Texas Horridor, affects every person in Texas. I don't wish it on any person and if the people speaking up tonight were any indication (and they were all political persuasions) Perry won't be governor.

I am worn out a little from all the video recording and travelling but will be putting up video from this tomorrow after some rest.
